Random Thoughts: On a “Mid-Week” Prowl w/Reflections….

It has been quite a week again in the Political World — between the G20, the Donald Trump Jr’s Emails and how the White House manages the on-going saga. The take-down by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Commentator on President Trump was stunning. This is also as I picked this up while on the “Grid” supporting the team at the Daily Outsider courtesy of Professor Hamid Dabashi of Columbia University:

Ivanka Trump: The True Leader of the Free World, the Defender of the Faith, the Queen of the Seven Realms, the Beloved First Daughter of The Master of the Universe, the Final Bastion of the Judeo-Christian Civilization, the Light of the Heavens and Earth! How fortunate are US and Israel to have a Wonder Women like Ivanka Trump and her husband Prince Charming Jared Kushner ruling the world for them . . .

The stench of this nausea that Donald Trump has vomited over every sing…le institution of “Western Democracy” will never ever be wiped out — this is a just and apt and perfectly fitting end and collapse of generations of racist arrogance with which “the West” has denigrated and dismissed every single political culture other than its own — nowhere in the world — Asia, Africa, Latin America . . . , has any political culture been ever so openly vulgar, so loudly despicable, so deafeningly crass, so spectacularly vile — a certifiable idiot and her even more moronic husband are now in charge of the destiny of this United States of America — and its public faces on global scene — even more ridiculous than her are otherwise serious professionals like the head of IMF Christine Lagarde who sits next to her and laughs and chitchats as if all this unseemly inanity is perfectly normal —

Can you imagine what those racist Republicans would have done if Obama did something like that and had left Sasha or Malia or even his wife Michele (who is a Harvard Law school educated professional lawyer) sitting for him? They would have impeached him — this is the white racist privilege to which these bastards feel entitled — to leave one idiot daughter to sit for her even more idiot father — what dignity is left in this office?

Good — let this vicious vulgarity, this racist arrogance of white supremacy, die in ignominy, in irremediable disgust — so a new world, a new vision of democratic truth, can emerge on an equal footing and on an even playing field —

I can’t help but be sorry for Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Sean Spicer and all the Cabinet Secretaries who seem to be constantly undermined by The President. I guess that’s why we’re seeing “off camera” White House Press briefings — Our team used to feature the Daily Briefings over our @POTUS watch briefings but decided not to do as we felt it was useless. This is as the US Senate will continue to be in Washington to work through the maze of priorities that seem to be stalled. This is as the aftermath of Donald Trump Jr’s Russia Meeting continued to paralyze the White House — captured ever so eloquently by the Esquire’s Charlie Pierce.

This week has also been a week that the World celebrated World Population Day and as today was a day of action with a Battle for the Net led by what Farhad Mahjoo has called Some of the Frightful Eight — including Amazon and Facebook — to fight for Net Neutrality. The team at the Daily Outsider joined it as we’ve featured it on our properties throughout the day. The need to keep Internet Free and to preserve the First Amendment of the Digital Age is ever so critical than ever.

As I finish off these thoughts before “running off” , I can’t help but underscore the need to be positive and engaging is ever so critical especially with the work I help with at all properties of the Daily Outsider every day. The team underscored this with what we’ve worked on curating throughout the week as the on-going review is on-going. I was so happy to see this from the Clinton Foundation that underscores that our lives are not about us in the final analysis:

After I initially published this on my Personal Blog, I picked up the shock on the conviction of Brazil’s Ex-President Lula, the breakup of the Trillion Ton of Ice From Antarctica , the flooding in India endangering Rhinos and the on-going bullying of Qatar especially as Rex Tillerson seems to have hit a brick wall trying to have everyone come to their senses. There were also two shocking reports from the UN: 1) Gaza will be uninhabitable by 2020 as it suffers under a crushing blockade courtesy of Egypt and Israel & 2) 300,000 people are potentially susceptible to Cholera due to the on-going war in Yemen that has destroyed the Country.

Truly challenging times….
